“What’s Up?”

Welcome to the MU/SLS blog.  During the Winter 2013 semester, we’re building this blogsite as a resource for everyone connected to the Sign Language Studies department at Madonna University: students, faculty, alumni, Deaf community members, and interpreters. Here, we’ll gather interesting and informative resources about ASL, linguistics, the Deaf community, local events and more. We’ll also use the blog to discuss developments in our community in a way that lets us reach out beyond the campus community.  Have you seen something interesting we should add? Let us know!

Also, please consider signing up for our email newsletter.  You can enter your email in the right-hand column of this page. We use the newsletter as a way to update the community on additions to the department, workshops, and other community events.  We promise that we won’t share your information, and we won’t send you unwanted emails (SPAM).

See the department’s Facebook page for more frequent updates, and don’t forget us on Twitter.

This isn’t the official website of the SLS department, it’s our online community.  Check out  the official Madonna University website for more detailed information about MU, the department, and our three degree offerings:

  • BA: Interpreting Studies
  • BA: Deaf Community Studies
  • ASL Education
